CEO, Swim England

At Swim England Adam is credited with revitalizing and modernising the English governing body for swimming, the nation’s most popular participation sport. At the heart of this was a new game-changing participation plan for swimming, which has already started to turn around the fortunes of this most essential of sports.

CEO, Commonwealth Games England

Adam led Commonwealth Games England where he designed and drove the organisation’s transformation into a successful national governing body. This delivered unprecedented sporting and commercial success at Glasgow 2014. A key element was translating public interest in Team England at the Games into opportunities to engage in and take up practicing sport themselves.

Adam particularly enjoys:

  • Anything which gets more people to do more sport, more often
  • Organisational turnarounds
  • Generating and implementing new strategy
  • Creating common cause in complex multi-stakeholder environments
  • Delivering inspirational sporting events
